City Proclaims March 1-5 as Wildcat Week

The City of Louisville has proclaimed next week, March 1 - 5, 2021, as WILDCAT WEEK and the proclamation is attached to this email.

The 2020 LHS Wildcat Football Team brought home the school's 10th state championship in a time of many challenges. Due to pandemic circumstances, the community has not yet had the opportunity to properly celebrate and honor this great accomplishment. We have designated next week as a week to do just that, CELEBRATE THE 10th TITLE.

What does this mean?

We are asking everyone to join in the fun of WILDCAT WEEK in any or all of the following ways:

Publicly display your Wildcat Pride at work, home, or social platform
Make a monetary contribution to the Louisville Wildcats Athletic Boosters (Remit to: 65 McGee Street / Louisville, MS 39339)
Sponsor one or more student's purchase of a ring, $350 each
Provide a public or business venue for a few Wildcat Football players and a Coach to be present, meet community members, and accept donations on Thursday, March 4, or Friday, March 5, from approximately 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. (Observing all safety protocols)
If you would be willing to offer space outside or inside your business or office please contact:

Coach Tyrone Shorter tshorter@louisville.k12.ms.us
Mayor Will Hill hillwill@gmail.com

The Louisville Wildcats Athletic Boosters have been actively fundraising for the purchase of State Championship Rings for these students on their accomplishment. WILDCAT WEEK is an opportunity for the entire community to come together for a joyous occasion and help these students with completing a dream of being a State Champion.

Thank you in advance for your time and participation. Please feel free to contact any member of the Louisville Wildcats Athletic Boosters if you have any questions about a contribution.
