Louisville Municipal Family Center Offers Free Health Fair
Louisville Municipal Family Center will be having a Free Health Fair on Wednesday, March 31 2021 from 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M at the Family Center located on 177 North Columbus Avenue in the Fair Elementary School (Building D). ECCC Offering Manufacturing Safety Class in Louisville
East Central Community College is offering a three-week Manufacturing Safety class at the Louisville Career Advancement Center beginning Monday, April 5. The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday for three weeks. The cost is $25.
Included in the course is an Introduction to Manufacturing, CPR, and OSHA 10 training. Those enrolling must be 18 years old and a high school graduate. The Louisville Career Advancement Center is located at 1475 South Church Ave.

Library Now Fully Open to the Public
As of Friday, March 26, the Winston County Library is fully open to the public, ahead of the planned April 1st date. You can browse for books, audio books and DVDs to your heart’s content. Just make sure you wear a mask and a hand sanitizing station is located just inside the door entering the library.
ECCC Offering Basic Welding Class in Louisville
East Central Community College is offering a four-week Basic Welding class at the Louisville/Winston County Career-Technical Center beginning Wednesday, March 31.
The class will meet from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on days to be determined for four weeks. The cost of the 32-hour class is $150.
Included in the course is GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, and SMAW processes. Each student needs a welding helmet. Boots, jeans, and long sleeves are required for this class; no shorts or jeans with holes or frays.
Those enrolling must be 18 years old and a high school graduate.
The Louisville/Winston County Career-Technical Center is located at 204 Ivey Ave.

National Library Week Events
The Winston County Library is celebrating National Library Week April 4th – April 10th. They will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, April 8th from 11-2pm. Call 773-3212 to set up an appointment. Also, there will be a Plant Swap on Friday, April 9th from 9am – 1pm in front of the library. Adding to the fun, starting Monday, April 5th, you can go to the library’s faceBook page or go to the library and participate in a Candy Count: guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar to win prizes. Should be a fun week!
Winston County Library Closing Today
Due to threat of severe weather the Winston County Library will close at 12 noon today, Tuesday, March 17.. Will re-open tomorrow, Thursday, March 18th at 8:30am.
ECCC to Host 2021 Student Art Exhibition April 6-16
The East Central Community College Art Department will host its annual Student Art Exhibition beginning Tuesday, April 6, in the lobby of the Vickers Fine Arts Center on the Decatur campus. The exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, sculptures, and designs produced by ECCC students during the 2020-2021 college year.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no opening reception, but patrons may view the display between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. until noon on Fridays. The exhibition will be on display until Friday, April 16.
The show will be juried and a list of the winners will be posted in Vickers Lobby. Students whose work is featured and their respective hometowns include: Kendra Allen, Anson Dearing, Aza Burton, Lake Hall, and Hailey Hardy, all of Philadelphia; Shelby Bates, Conehatta; Montana Butler and Madison Hancock, both of Union; Ashton Massey and Maggie Nowell, both of Decatur; Leslie Phillipson, Lake; Bailey Wood, Louisville; Tyteanna Wragg and Erica Goodman, both of Newton; Haley Franklin, Morton; Isabella Brescia and Karienna Thomas, both of Choctaw; and Emily King, Starkville.

ECCC Announces Audition Dates for Concert Choir, Vocé
East Central Community College Choral Music Instructor Lucus Orndorff has announced audition dates for the college’s Concert Choir and Vocé vocal ensemble for the 2021-22 term.
Auditions for Concert Choir will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on consecutive Fridays, April 9, 16, 23, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 29.
Those who have scheduling conflicts can arrange additional dates or times by emailing Orndorff at lorndorff@eccc.edu or by calling 601-635-6225.

City Proclaims March 1-5 as Wildcat Week
The City of Louisville has proclaimed next week, March 1 - 5, 2021, as WILDCAT WEEK and the proclamation is attached to this email.
The 2020 LHS Wildcat Football Team brought home the school's 10th state championship in a time of many challenges. Due to pandemic circumstances, the community has not yet had the opportunity to properly celebrate and honor this great accomplishment. We have designated next week as a week to do just that, CELEBRATE THE 10th TITLE.
What does this mean?
We are asking everyone to join in the fun of WILDCAT WEEK in any or all of the following ways:
Publicly display your Wildcat Pride at work, home, or social platform
Make a monetary contribution to the Louisville Wildcats Athletic Boosters (Remit to: 65 McGee Street / Louisville, MS 39339)
Sponsor one or more student's purchase of a ring, $350 each
Provide a public or business venue for a few Wildcat Football players and a Coach to be present, meet community members, and accept donations on Thursday, March 4, or Friday, March 5, from approximately 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. (Observing all safety protocols)
