Saturday, October 30,2021 from 9am to 11, kickoff at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH parking lot. Calling all churches, clubs, businesses, schools, and individuals to come be a part of community and participate in community service.




David Sangster Book Event at the Library - Nov.6

The Winston County Library will be hosting an author event on Saturday, November 6th from 1-4pm for Louisville native David Sangster. He will talk about his newest books, Before You Say I Do, and Who’s Fooling Who?

Copies of each book will be for sale during the event.

Teentober Month at the Winston County Library

The Winston County Library is celebrating Teentober month! Each week in October, teens can come to the library and participate in different games and activities each week. The first week was “I Spy” week, with teens identifying different hidden objects in the display case. Keyleigh Gladney, a seventh grader at Eiland Middle School and a member of Dr. Melissa Davis’s book club, was the first participant. Keyleigh is shown here with her book prize.



10th Annual Panhandle Community Day - Oct. 16

 On Saturday, October 16, from 8:00-2:00, the Panhandle Community of Choctaw County will host the 10th annual Panhandle Community Day. Held in the historic Panhandle Consolidated School building, the craft fair will feature local talent in many forms, and, of course, food. A hamburger plate will be available for $6.00.

Tenth Annual Harvest Festival at Dean Park- Oct 9
